The photo above shows the standing ovation given to Norman R, as he received his award as a founding member of the Twinning Association.

Prior to the formalities there was a Picnic in the Village Hall, though many people went outside into the Rectory Gardens

The formalities included:

• Speeches by the Dignatories
   
• Long Service Awards
   
• Presentation of a Letter from Stühlingen
   
• Presentation of a Plaque from Bellême
   
• National Anthemes by the Goring & Streatly Band
   
• Piping Out to the Ode to Joy
