Below is a transcript of the letter from the Bergermeisterin of Stühlingen, Isolde Schäfer, to the Chairman of Goring Parish Council, Ann Hart.
Dear friends in Goring,
Me too, I would like to send you my congratulations for 30 years of partnership between Goring and Bellême.
It is nice to see friendship developing, prejudice disappearing and Europe getting closer because of these partnerships between towns and cities.
I wish you and ourselves a lot of coming together in friendship, not only for today but also for the future, and I’m looking forward to taking part in it.
I say this in the name of all citizens of Stühlingen!
